Kuala Lumpur 19 August – A car accident occurred around 3:30am Thursday morning along the Mid Valley road involving four passengers ( An LUCT student included) in a Nissan Cefiro which crashed on the barricade dividing the two lanes.
There were no injuries or fatalities and no other cars were involved except the passengers suffered bruises.
The cause of the accident is unclear but according to one of the passengers it was partly due to the heavy rain and the driver was going 140km/h across the bend where he lost control of the steering wheel and the car skidded.
Immediate help arrived involving a couple of men from garages who called the toll car to send the crashed vehicle to the garage and a by passer stopped to help the four passengers into his car where they were later sent home.
This shows that reckless driving in bad weather is very hazardous for the driver as well as the passengers and the general public.
